November 11, 2005 - Congratulations to the Georgia Classics Baseball Team, managed by Jim Nisewonger and Harry Harrison for winning the 60+ AA Division in the Roy Hobbs World Series in Fort Myers, FL.

November 5, 2005 - Congratulations to Dirt's All Stars (65+) managed by Walt Taylor for going undefeated and winning the Gold Division in the SPA Winter Nationals in Pensacola, FL. (It's really the Old South Team (60+) getting ready to move up to the 65+ age division in 2006.)

October 20, 2005 - Congratulations to Rick Prigmore and Tremont Hotel (80+ Majors) for winning the Senior Softball World Championship in Phoenix, AZ. The Tremont Hotel Team made senior softball history by winning all four national tournaments - SSWC in Phoenix, Senior Softball World Series in Des Moines, IA, SPA North American Championships in Plano, TX and Senior World Masters Tournament in Las Vegas, NV. Rick will need to get a necklace for all of the championship rings he has won - not bad for an 80+ guy!

October 6, 2005 - Congratulations to Old South (60+ Major Division) managed by Walt Taylor for winning the Silver Medal at the Huntsmen World Senior Games in Saint George, UT.

October 8, 2005 - Congratulations to Tena Stanfield (55 Age Division) and Doris Warpole (60 Age Division) and the Florida Spirits for winning Silver Medals at the Huntsmen World Senior Games in Saint George, UT.

October 7, 2005 - Congratulations to Ed Davis, Mike Monsen and Mack Roper and the GA/SC Reruns (60 Age Division ) for winning Gold Medals at the Huntsmen World Senior Games in Saint George, UT.

October 5, 2005 - Congratulations to Rick Prigmore and the Tremont Hotel (80+ Majors) for winning the LVSSA World Masters Championship in Las Vegas.

August 11, 2005 - Congratulations to the Georgia Peaches (70 Major) managed by Charlie Blackburn for winning the SPA National Championship in Plano, Texas.

August 26-27, 2005 - Congratulations to Sunview (60 AAA) managed by Mack Roper for winning the SPA Gulf Coast Championship in Columbus, GA. Mack was named SPA Gulf Coast Manager of the Year. Ed Nelson was named to the All Tournament Team.

August 26-27, 2005 - Congratulations to the Georgia Classics (65 AAA) managed by Jim Nisewonger and Harry Harrison for winning the SPA Gulf Coast Championship in Columbus, GA. The Georgia Nuggets finished in 2nd place.

August 19-21, 2005 - Congratulations to the Georgia Nuggets (65 AAA) managed by Ed Davis for winning the ISSA Championship in Manassas, VA.

August 6, 2005 - MASSL players competed in the All Star Game in Smyrna. This was the first "organized" inter-league play for senior softball in Atlanta. Phil Adams was named MVP for the under 60 team; Ed Davis was named MVP for the 60+ team.

July 29-31, 2005 - Congratulations to the Georgia Nuggets (65 AAA) managed by Ed Davis for winning the NSA World Series in Gadsden, AL. The Nuggets were undefeated 6-0. The Georgia Classics finished in 2nd place with 2 losses to the Nuggets.
