The Metro Atlanta Senior Softball League has Tournament Teams representing different age groups. These competitive teams travel outside of the Metro Atlanta area at least 3 or more times per year to participate in sanctioned Senior Softball tournaments. Players range in age from 50 to over 80. Players from MASSL also play on other Tournament Teams. Information about 2009 Qualifying and Invitational Senior Tournaments can be found online at the Sanctioning Organizations web sites. The National Senior Softball Summit Ratings Committee determines each team's rating. The following organizations have agreed to adopt the team ratings: ASA, USSSA, ISA, LVSSA, NSA, SSUSA, SPA, ISSA/ISF and Huntsman World Senior Games. June, 2009 - Congratulations to the Georgia Classics managed by Jim Nisewonger and Harry Harrison for winning the SPA Peach State Classic 65 Silver Division in Marietta, GA. May, 2009 - Congratulations to the Georgia Classics managed by Jim Nisewonger and Harry Harrison for winning the SPA Carolina Classic 70 Gold Division in Burlington, NC. April, 2009 - Congratulations to the Georgia Classics managed by Jim Nisewonger and Harry Harrison for winning the SPA Masters Classic 65 Silver Division in Augusta, GA. April, 2009 - Congratulations to the Georgia Nuggets managed by Ed Davis for winning the SPA Masters Classic in Augusta, GA. The Nuggets were undefeated. |
