| Senior
softball players "stay in shape" during the off season
by playing basketball at Rhodes Jordan Park. The season generally
begins the first Wednesday in November and runs
through the end of February. Play is held every Wednesday night
in the Community Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The 2009 season
will start in late October.
Play is open to Senior Softball
League Members (age 45 and up) and their friends (ALL skill
levels) and is played in a "pick-up" format. Rhodes Jordan
Park is located at 100 Crogan Street near the heart of downtown
Lawrenceville.

Directions Heading North on I-85 from I-285:
From I-285, go north on I-85 PAST Gwinnett Place Mall (which
is at Exit 104, Pleasant Hill Rd.) to GA 316 to Athens/Lawrenceville
(Exit 106). Travel 5 miles on GA 316 to GA 120 and Exit toward Lawrenceville.
Turn right onto GA 120 and go about one and one-half miles, following
signs for GA 120 east (this highway/street has different names and
is called Duluth Hwy, W. Pike St., Crogan St. and US 29, in that
order). After you pass the Krystal (which will be located on your
right), move to the left lane as the right hand lane becomes a right
turn only lane in about a half mile (at Langley Dr.).
When you get into downtown Lawrenceville move to the center lane
as you will want to go straight past the Post Office (which will
be located on your left). Immediately past the Post Office you will
also want to go through the traffic light at GA 20/GA 124. In about
one-half mile you will reach the traffic light at GA 124 (Scenic
Hwy). GA 124 accesses Crogan St./GA 120/US 29 from the right only.
When you get to the traffic light at GA 124 (Scenic Hwy) turn left
into Rhodes Jordan Park.
Follow the park road around the football/baseball fields (which
will be on your right). At the first stop sign, turn left on Waterworks
Rd. and follow it around the water reservoir (which will be on your
left). Look for the sign to the Community Center (which will be
up a hill on your right). From GA 316, it is about 3 miles to the
Community Center.
Directions Heading North From I-285 and US 78 (Stone Mountain
Freeway):
From I-285, take US 78 (Stone Mountain Freeway) east to Snellville.
Turn left onto GA 124 (Scenic Hwy) to Lawrenceville and Rhodes Jordan
Park. Stay on GA 124 and go past GA 20. In about one-half mile you
will reach the traffic light at Pike St./Crogan St./US 29. You will
need to be in the center lane before you approach the light so that
you can continue on straight through the light. Hwy 124 appears
to dead-end at Pike St./Crogan St./US 29 (actually GA 124 continues
on north if you were to turn left). However, you will not turn,
but go straight through the traffic light into Rhodes Jordan Park.
Follow the park road around the football/baseball fields (which
will be on your right). At the first stop sign, turn left on Waterworks
Rd. and follow it around the water reservoir (which will be on your
left). Look for the sign to the Community Center (which will be
up a hill on your right). From I-285, it is about 18 miles to the
Community Center.
