November 12, 2006 - Congratulations to the Georgia Nuggets (65 Major) managed by Ed Davis for coming in 2nd in the SPA Winter Nationals in Tampa, FL. October 16, 2006 - Congratulations to Doris Warpole (60 Division) and the Florida Spirits for winning Bronze Medals at the Huntsmen World Senior Games in Saint George, UT. October 14, 2006 - Congratulations to the Georgia Nuggets (65 Major) managed by Ed Davis for winning the Silver Medal at the Huntsmen World Senior Games in Saint George, UT. August 27, 2006 - Congratulations to the Georgia Peaches (75 Major) managed by Norm Lebedin for coming in 2nd in the SPA National Championship in Plano, Texas. August 13, 2006 - Congratulations to the Georgia Peaches (70 Major) managed by Charlie Blackburn for winning the SPA National Championship in Plano, Texas. July 30, 2006 - Congratulations to the Georgia Peaches (70 Major) managed by Charlie Blackburn for winning the NSA World Series in Rock Hill, SC. June 17, 2006 - MASSL players competed in the All Star Game in Smyrna. Nate Henry was selected as MVP for the 60+ team. Howard Wilcox and J. W. Austin were selected as Co-MVPs for the under 60 team. The Metro Atlanta Senior Softball League has Tournament Teams representing different age groups. These competitive teams travel outside of the Metro Atlanta area at least 3 or more times per year to participate in sanctioned Senior Softball tournaments. Players range in age from 50 to over 80. Players from MASSL also play on other Tournament Teams. Information about 2006 Qualifying and Invitational Senior Tournaments can be found online at the Sanctioning Organizations web sites. The National Senior Softball Summit Ratings Committee determines each team's rating. The following organizations have agreed to adopt the team ratings: ASA, USSSA, ISA, LVSSA, NSA, SSUSA, SPA, ISSA/ISF and Huntsman World Senior Games. |
